Summary

In this class we work on the principles and strategies for defending when in turtle  in brazilian jiu jitsu.

Concepts for defending:

  • Correct Posture:Arms (elbows tight) and hands for negating hook insertion and neck access.
  • Relevance of understanding the positions as a defensive and transitional position even when there are some attacks available.
  • Working on the three main exit movements: Shoulder Roll, Reguard, Lateral hip escape.
  • Introduction to some of the offensive options : Sweep and Kimura as examples.
